5/24/17 Michigan
Spent the day traveling along the western border of Michigan against Michigan lake. The lake stretches as far as you can see and is as blue as the Caribbean in some areas. Admired huge lake houses and little towns with dirt roads. Our camper is officially broken in and covered in mud (externally).
For dinner we stopped at Mackinaw city which is basically a beach town minus the crowds. We ate at Dixie Saloon while we looked out at at the ferry that takes you to Mackinac island.
We then crossed the 26,372 ft long Mackinac bridge, which the picture does not do justice, connecting the upper and lower peninsulas.
Driving along Lake Superior, which is also massive.
We are headed towards Wisconsin but will probably make camp sooner or later, where ever we find a decent spot. Tomorrow we explore Wisconsin, eat some cheese, and Minnesota.
This is so fun to be able to follow where you guys are at!! Love the blog idea! That first pic of Lake Michigan is gorgeous!!! - Melissa
